1) I placed my ad and I haven't gotten any responses. What can I do?
Any romantic will tell you that finding your match can take some patience, however there are some things you can do to speed the process along. If you haven't already done so, put a photo in your profile. Profiles with photos tend to get far more responses than those without photos. Also, don't be afraid to be proactive. Do some searches and make contact with other members who intrigue you. There's nothing to say you can't nudge your destiny along—just a little.
2) Can I change and update my profile?
Yes, you can. To modify the information in your profile, click Modify Your Profile under the Your Profile area. You can also edit your Preferences (such as your email address and other settings) under Modify Preferences.
3) How do I send someone a message?
After you've run a search and found someone that you'd like to make contact with, you can send them a message by clicking on the Send a Message link on their profile. Should they respond to your message, you can keep the conversation flowing by replying to their messages in your mailbox.
4) How do I know I've received a message?
Our system will send you an email whenever a new message arrives in your Destiny Match mailbox.
5) What do I do if I see an offensive message?
If you feel that you don't want to receive any more messages from this particular person ever again, you may use our mail system's Block User option to prevent any more messages from this user from finding their way into your mailbox. If ever you have a change of heart on a user you have previously blocked, you can unblock them using the Edit Blocked List option.
6) What if you are being harassed?
If you feel that the behaviour of another user is becoming a problem, please email . We will send a warning to the user, after which if it still continues, that person will be banned from the site.
